-YOU BUY IT, WE RAISE IT-
Your payment reserves your name on one of our cattle or hogs. We are able to then sustainably plan our spring and fall herds this year and for next to prepare for each harvest season we offer. It's first come, first served, so order when available so you're not the last to get your shipment! After you place your order, you'll receive an email confirmation automatically and receive real time updates as we get closer to your scheduled beef harvest time or shipment date. Then just sit back, relax, and let us raise the best damn beef you've ever had!

Your beef will be harvested at it's peak flavor during one of our 3 beef harvest seasons. Our butchers will dry-age, process, vacuum-seal, and freeze your beef. Once your beef is ready (about 2-3 weeks later), we'll pack your share and schedule your shipping based on specified dates for your season of beef harvest. Our bundles are typically in stock so once order is placed we will ship on the following Monday. Bundles go fast so don't hesitate long! If you selected a pickup, we'll schedule that date also.

"We purchased our first beef from Eric in 2015 and been doing it annually since then. The high quality of the beef that Eric can produce on his farm is the reason we go back to him year after year. We purchase half a beef each year and split that with my sister and husband who live in Wisconsin. They have purchased beef back in Wisconsin before but once they tasted what Eric has to offer, they make a trip to Omaha each year for their beef. Our Story
Our story is one of determination and hope. Plain and simple. Eric and I started a direct to consumer beef business in 2013 because we wanted other families to have the same access to nutritionally dense high quality healthy food just like we had available to us and were raising on our farm and ranch. We wanted others to know where their food was coming from and to be a part of that experience. That was the year we started Fass Farms Premium Beef and have never looked back. We are both very involved in our community through Eric having been our local Fire Chief prior his accident, our local church, community and school events, and numerous organizations. We've always liked being able to give back somehow and educating along the way. Then......one day it all changed.
Eric suffered a severe traumatic brain injury from a fall and later would suffer complete upper respiratory failure leaving him permanently disabled and requiring full-time care. Parts of him died that day and a lot of him will never be the same and recovery will be forever ongoing.
So....where do we go from here? Do we face the reality of walking away from what we worked so hard to build and were so passionate about? Considering the fact of adding even more change into our lives did not seem possible. Our journey down this new road has made us become more resilient in these new hard times and we have never for one minute given up hope that better days are ahead. God is good and our faith is strong! Through it all we've formed new relationships to include Argo Cattle and have rebranded Fass Farms where it all started to Down Home Beef. We have become a multi-family farm raising some of the highest quality wholesome beef in Southeast Nebraska. An experience and flavor you'll come back to every time! We take great pride in how we treat our land and raise our livestock. In turn we are able to provide savory, nutritious cuts of meat to other families and backyard grilling enthusiast!
